My background in fishing goes back as far as I can remember.  Beginning with a stick and a string as a small child, river fishing for salmon as I got older, and ocean fishing as well.

I took up fly fishing as a means to chase Atlantic salmon while serving in the CAF in New Brunswick.  It was at that time I was introduced to fly tying. I was lucky enough to have a mentor to teach me how to tie, and instil in me the passion that still burns today.

When I moved back to the west coast (Kitimat) my focus on fly fishing changed to stillwaters, and that has been the driving force and focus for the last 20 years. My tying has evolved to Stillwater tying, primarily with chronies, leeches and a plethora of lake required pattens.

I love to share what I have learned over the years and see myself as a student as well.

My passion for everything fishing is what drives me and keeps the fire burning.
