The young gun, Ethan Cox was born in New Westminster, BC and lived in Chilliwack until the age of 7. His passion for the outdoors developed as he walked, biked, and fished along the shores of the Vedder River near his home. Since then, Ethan has grown up in Pemberton, BC where he has had the pleasure of fishing on the beautiful surrounding lakes and rivers.
Some of his fondest memories have been fishing with his family. To seal his fishing addiction, Ethan’s dad, uncle and grandfather took him on a fishing trip on the Pacific near Prince Rupert. This trip was the first fishing trip that “hooked” him. Since that time, Ethan has become a fishing and hunting guru. The only thing that stops him from fishing is the occasional hockey game.
Fly tying was the natural progression of his interest both because he couldn’t afford to buy flies and because it gives him a much needed challenge. This hobby has opened up so many opportunities and he’s happy to share his tricks. Ethan is also a youth co-host finalist for the very popular @sport_fishing_on_the_fly tv series, keep an eye out for him on upcoming episodes!
